Hoping I can get some advice to save a lighthouse on our Atwood Lake in Ohio.

Currently, there is a plastic sheating covering the main exterior. I've seen similar type material used on walls in restrooms at gas stations or restaurants. Ours has developed some cracking which in enabling water to get in and we're worried if we don't stop it that eventually it will have to be torn down.

The interior walls are constructed using 2x6's with plywood sheeting under the cracked exterior covering. I'm wondering what products could be used to cover the current exterior? Is there a special coating that could be brushed or rolled on the surface that would help protect it? If not, I'm thinking a wire mesh would need to be tacked up an then a imitation brick or stone type surface added.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. We'd hate to see this local landmark be torn down. The lighthouse is not a working lighthouse although we would like to see some better lighting added behind the glass at the top.

Thank you, Mitch
