Five years ago I have been first time in Chumpon, Southern Thailand with a large harbour !
I have made severel pics and uploaded to World of Lighthouses.Alex Trabas wrote me at this time, I have missed the Admiralty F2924.2 and F2924.3.
So I returned recently again to Chumpon to make pics from the missed lights.
Now Alex Trabas revised all geographical positions. Now I had to correct all my pictures as well.I hope everything is correct now.

Lighthouse Directory from Russ Rowlett is very useful for all of us lighthouse lovers. But often I see great differences for height of the tower and focal plane elevation from Open Sea Map.
For instance: Roscoff ! A1812.1 Russ: 24 and 24, Open Sea : 15 and 24 (seems realistic )
Or the beacons in sea: A1818, Russ :20 and 14, Open Sea : 8 and 14 (seems realistic ) and so on...

A lighthouse collapses !

In Google Maps the Rear und Front lighthouses in Barfleur are named as Le Phare de la Bretonne and Phare du Cracko ! Where do the names come from?

Is it the only movable Range Rear in the world?  It can be moved laterally according to the requirements of the fairway. I have never seen before!

Trying to find Netherlands list of lights, especially the lights of Ijsselmeer? No success...

The topic about national lighthouse lists  was discussed 5 years ago!
After a short trip to Denmark I noticed that the link does not work anymore!  Who knows the new link?

Greifswalder Oie lighthouse is well known. I was surprised to find ARLHS FED-355 in ARLHS list. This small tower is known as old fog horn! Was it lighted someday? A coal fire ?

I have no idea, where I have made this picture, must be before 2000, Italy, France, Spain...Must be mediterranean area...

I think this is my first picture of a light I have made, not to  know what a hobby will come later!
I made it 1994 in Greece, Chalkidiki, peninsula Kassandra ! I failed to identify this small harbour light!

Recently I have made a trip to Eastern lighthouses of Thailand. I have found some lights not listed in Admiralty or Lighthouse Directory. But there are two lists, I cant find.
For instance, yesterday I uploaded Rayong lighthouse. Beside Admiralty and ARLHS the Directory mentioned THN-114 and NGA 20600.

After almost 16 years I made a correction of one of my pictures. In 2006 I followed "The Lighthouse Directory" to Northern Bothia and made a picture of a lightship, northern of Uppsala. Lighthouse Directory called this lightship " Finngrundet",

Menorca is a wonderful place for lighthouse lovers. 7 great lighthouses are accessible easily by car! Now the question for our spanish lighthouse friends ! I have made a picture at a roundabout in Mahon. In the middle is a lighthouse lantern. The tourist information in Mahon could not answer my question about the origin of this lantern. Might it be the lost Mahon lighthouse listed in Lighthouse Dictionary?

Had a short discussion with captainpet about the choice of cameras to make great pictures of our lighthouses. Maybe we can discuss on a broader basis.
I prefer small cameras, low weight, to stuck it in my pants pocket. Now I use a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX 90V. I like this small camera, but the disadvantage is, these compact cameras can not achieve a greater zoom. The Sony has a 30 zoom. More would be better...

I have seen more than 2700 lighthouses around the world, but  I was rarely so impressed as I was from the Lindesnes Lighthouse. Adventure world Lindesnes fyr !
The lighthouse is a protected site of cultural heritage in Norway. It is easy to reach by road, parking provided.
There is a visitor center with multimedia shows, restaurant, gift shop and well preserved historic buildings. Entrance fee is about 8 € ! It is open from May till October. So the lighthouse is  one of most known Norwegian lighthouses!
I was happy to have seen this great lighthouse.

Shortly before our ferry arrival in Kristiansand, Norway I have made a lot of pictures. Now I cannot identify two lights!
The pictures were made after passage of Oksoy lighthouse.
