Title: Lighthouse Painting Very Detailed - Where?
Post by: driftdiver on September 06, 2016, 09:44:33 PM
This very detailed and precise oil painting was purchased at an auction.  Is there anyone who can please help me with the identification of the lighthouse?  Thanks a bunch.

Minor tower was a fog signal. It presented on historic photos, but seems not exist anymore.

Wow!  I am very impressed with your quick response in identifying this lighthouse!  I would never have been able to find it.  Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much!

It is a bit difficult to identify the artist's signature, but I believe it was painted by:
T. Morrison.

The date following the signature either says 1977 or 1971.

I wonder when the fog horn tower was demolished...will have to do more research.

Thank you for your assistance once again.
