After my last lighthouse trip to Taiwan I have known flourite by this list! Thats a pity, better has been before to make some suggestions. Trying to do that better for the next trips in 2017 ! Has anyone experience with lighthouse trips in Western Turkey or Southern Sweden ?

So many lights in Taiwan, crazy. Its hard to identify them! The lights mentioned above must be close to the Fishing Port of Danshui! I have been there, but I cant identify the lights. One of the communication towers? Flourite has experience! Can you seen them at the pictures?

I have made in september a great trip to the lighthouses of Great Lakes for 17 days.. Starting NY, along the Hudson river to Plattsburgh, going west to St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario! Next Lake Erie , via Buffalo and Cleveland to Detroit and Lake Huron.Reaching eastern shores of Lake Michigan in Holland, going north to Sault Sainte Marie. Lake Superior in Marquette and last a southern route to Chicago along the western shore of Lake Michigan, about 5500 km. Where in the world is a higher density of lighthouses? I believe, nowhere!

Recently I have done a great lighthouse trip along the Five Great Lakes! I have made many pictures from lighthouses and smaller lights. How to find the description (Admiralty) for smalles lights?? By maps, by lists? The picture shows a light made from Blackwell Island New York! Admiralty....? I wasn't successful at Admiralty website!

If you watch the current gallery you find so different classification letters, A,C,D,E ... Admiralty is C, common is also ARLHS ! Can anyone explain?  Thanks !

I have made a picture from the Port la Chaine Light! far away you see a light,white tower,  eastern from La Corne Light, only a Daymark?  Thanks!

From the walls of Saint Malo you can see some lights ! East of Phare Grand Jardin you can see one beacon with two yellow stripes ! Lighted ? Any idea ?  Thanks.

This is more a posting for German lighthouse friends! I want create a new webside for historical lighthouse before the discovery of electricity ! It should be inexpensive an not to difficult! Has anyone an idea, some contacts ? Thanks!

These two pictures were made from Portovenere, Liguria, Italy in eastern direction! I cant identify this object, wether in Google maps, nor Bing? Is it a lighthouse? I suppose , the GPS Coordinates are about 44.058661, 9.849462 !

Does anyone knows, if you can walk to the lighthouse L´Ilette ? Lighthouse Directory writes , private property, no entrance ! Has things changed ?

Recently I have been overnight in Scheveningen, Holland, just in opposite of the Scheveningen Pier! But  I missed the light on the Pier Tower, all over the night! Does anywhere know more about this lost light? 

Some underlines of pictures from Manfredonia are wrong!  Molo di Levante is a breakwater light, with green latern. The Manfredonia lighthouse has a 2story keeper house! I have been there recently! 

I have made a boat trip from Cairns to Fitzroy Island and back. Far away I have seen an island ( also visible from Cairns ) and a tower. I suppose, thats a lighthouse. Either I can identify the island, maybe Green Island reef, nor I can identyfy  the supposed lighthouse in the internet! 

These two pictures were made in Kristiansund. I cant find the name of these small light! Thanks for help!

I have been in Laos last days, Luang Prabang. It is really a lovely french town, World Cultural Heritage. During the French Protectorate of Laos (1893–1953) the French  have buildt a lot of Daymarks in the Mekong River to prevent the ships from sandbanks! The aim was to achieve a shipping from China to the Mekong Delta ! It never worked!
I have made some pictures. On the larger view you can see the next daymark in the upper right corner! I believe, that these daymarks helps the ships today too! They never have been lighted! I could not find more about these daymarks in the internet!

On a trip to Istanbul I took 2 pictures from a ferry boat in Istanbul. "Lighthouse  Directory" lists only one Kadiköy Breakwater light, but definately there were two lights! Any explanation? Thanks !

This picture was made on a drive from Halifax to Lunenburg. I took a picture from Hubbards Cove light and about one hour later , close to Lunenburg, I took this distant lighthouse picture. According to Lighthouse directory I cant identify this light anymore. Has anyone an idea ?

              in the Georgia Album is a mix of pictures covering Batumi and Lake Huron ? Whats happened ? O.k., Batumi is not so different from the humid Georgia ...

I have been here 2005. I took this picture on a southern tour from Cabo Creus to Barcelona. I am rather sure, the picture ist Islas Medas lighthouse. need your confirmation! Thanks !
