Thanks for the information, the area looked swampy, I wouldnt think, that there is a channel - and for this channel is this light or its a doubble light together with the white Paralepa?

The channel itself is 4 miles north from lighthouse, and yes it's pretty shallow. Range lights (or transit lights) always work together, if they are on the same light (looking from the ship) - the ship is exactly on route. See details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leading_lights

I knew this combination under the term "leading lights" front low, rear high - a lot of them I saw in Netherland and Germany; anyway, thanks for explanation
