Built on the westpoint of the island she became wet feet, standing in the sea due to erosion. These islands are walking slowly eastward, loosing sand at there westcoast and regaining it at there eastpoint. 
This tower was also pointing North-South with there spires. The middle tower had from 1624 a oillight, after a fire she was just a daymark.
Just before X-mas 1914 the German Navy blew the tower, so that there enemy could not use this daymark.
