Information from Frans Truyens: There have been three Westhinder light vessels in Belgium, all three with the huge Westhinder name painted on both side??™s of the ships, this because all of them had to mark a big sandbank into the North sea,the sandbank called WESTHINDER. Every three months the vessels relieved each other at the time they were still in service! Lichtschip II,not Westhinder II,is the one laying upon a quay wall at Zeebrugge also in Belgium, she is now in use as a museum vessel,a ticket counter and entry of the Sea Front museum over there!!
