Zeebrugge / Lichtschip II (West-hinder)
There have been three West-hinder light vessels in Belgium, all three with the huge West-hinder name painted on both side??™s of the ships, this because all of them had to mark a big sandbank into the North sea,the sandbank called WEST-HINDER. Every three months the vessels relieved each other at the time they were still in service!

Information from Frans Truyens: There have been three Westhinder light vessels in Belgium, all three with the huge Westhinder name painted on both side??™s of the ships, this because all of them had to mark a big sandbank into the North sea,the sandbank called WESTHINDER. Every three months the vessels relieved each other at the time they were still in service!
