There have been three West-hinder light vessels in Belgium, all three with the huge West-hinder name painted on both side’s of the ships, this because all of them had to mark a big sandbank into the North sea,the sandbank called WEST-HINDER. Every three months the vessels relieved each other at the time they were still in service!
